Sometimes kitchens don’t need full remodels if they’ve already got great cabinetry and good layout. But oftentimes, we look for change as we may grow tired of the same old, same old. When looking to make simple kitchen changes, there are various things you can do that go a long way. For instance, if you’re cabinetry doesn’t have hardware today, then try adding hardware that compliments your cabinetry! Adding hardware is almost like adding jewelry to a nice outfit – it completes the look! Want to find out more about how you can implement simple kitchen updates? Continue reading below!
Adding Hardware
As we mentioned above, adding hardware to your cabinetry is a great way to make a simple update, yet noticeable change. But you can also change out your hardware even if you have hardware today. Just be sure the cc (center-to-center) measurements match up with your new hardware – as exposed holes are not a good look! Also worth mentioning, hardware keeps your cabinetry clean and helps with the efficiency of opening and closing of doors and drawers.

Having fun and mixing knob and pulls gives the kitchen that extra appeal.
Adding Backsplash
Adding an interesting and exciting tile to your backsplash will instantly change the look of your kitchen. Whether it’s a fun color, a cool pattern, or even a texture, backsplash tile will provide an instant change to your space. Plus, backsplash not only looks great but it also helps to protect your walls from food spills and water exposure, it’s a win-win!

Tile comes in many different shapes and forms. Here we’ve had fun with a glass and stone mosaic mix!
New Faucet
Tired of your old faucet? Then replace it with a new faucet! Today’s faucets have come a long way from what they used to be. Now they come with many different finishes starting from your standard stainless all the way to shiny and shimmery gold. Plus, they can even come with features such as pull-downs and sprays. If you’re going to change your faucet, however, be sure to look for a faucet requiring the same amount of holes.

Here we’ve utilized a classic bridge faucet that also comes with a separate spray.
Adding Accessories and Re-organizing
Adding accessories and re-organizing your kitchen takes little to no planning and could easily be done over a weekend. Adding accessories such as cutlery dividers, interior drawers, or even spice racks can help to declutter those cabinets. Begin with determining where your problem areas are (hello, mess drawers!) and tackle those first.

Here we’ve taken a frameless cabinet and attached the pull-out waste to the door. No more trashcan sitting out in the open!
